How doable do you think a chat menu at the top of the main page would be? My old WoW guild had a page that utilize a constant chat scroller and could be used by anybody that logged into the forums. From what I was told, it is relatively easy to setup...
This way, us poor working chumps can stop by to say hello from time to time throughout the day. It also shows activity on the site so maybe more people will sign up.
