Just signed up for the beta of the game. A friend back in the days told me about it when it first was announced and it sounded pretty cool. Does.'t look bad at all plus it's not fantasy and sometimes you just need to blow the crap out of something with a big gun!
Completely badass
Customization!
Gonna have to upgrade my system here quickly as I'm actually kind of excited about the game now...lol

Wow. The customization in that game is amazing. Think of how many different combinations you could have. Though, as cool as it looks, I don't think I'd ever play it. I never really got into the role playing for the sake of role playing. I mean... a modern day rpg, with guns? I suppose if I was really into shooting people and taking their cars, I'd already be doing it. ;) Kinda like people who play humans in fantasy mmos. Like... what's the point?
Not really an RPG it's more like the Battlefield games as it's more of a shooter with a crapload of customization and an actual purpose for people to run together as a gang. There are no fees besides buying the game so far so that's good.
Uses a celebrity/fame system to rank people and groups from what I've heard and read and the ability to create custom logos and clothes lets people spend their time just making cool crap and selling it like in SWG if they aren't in the mood to run n gun.
Just a couple days ago one of the Devs said the beta was WEEKS away. It will not be a massive public open beta though so you need to apply for it and hope to get lucky. The game is still 6+ months out from release.

The customization in the game is amazing. Unfortunately it is the best part of the game. I (along with a lot of the guys at S8) really wanted to like this game. It just did not do it for us though. It is a decent game, but there is an extreme lack of content (in the action districts) and combat has a lot of issues. For the $$ they want just cant see playing it. Had they stuck to their original promise of having no monthly charge at all then probably would have picked it up, but just not enough to hold interest for a sub.
It's $10 a month. That's the price of eating out once and half the price of a damn movie ticket...lol And the entertainment lasts a lot longer than a movies does.
Not saying its a lot of money, just saying I don't think its worth any of that money. I would not make it through the 1st month before I would be bored already. If they improve the game might be worth picking up later, but in the current state its pretty heavily lacking.
